I picked up some goodies for my Nytro. And then the warm weather came and melted all the snow. So I was able to install it all in comfortable weather, just in time for the winter storm warning in effect for tomorrow!!!
Added the Schmidt Brothers carbon fiber tipped dual exhaust, tunnel closer kit and Hyfax Savers, and also SkiWheelz.
The exhaust sounds GREAT!!!
Very happy with the quality of all the parts, and Chris Schmidt is a great help also. Good company to deal with.

Not yet, Chris said I wouldn't need one with just the muffler mod. The sled is rich from the factory. I'll keep an eye on the plugs though.

I will take some of my own also. It sounds better in person than the demo clips do.
Also, FWIW it is a piece of cake to install. At least is is on a newer sled. Old muffler came right off. The hyfax savers also are super easy. There is a pilot hole guide on the bracket for the front unit; you just make a pilot hole using the bracket itself for a template, then drill it out the rest of the way. it helps to do the inboard fronts at the same time, as it makes it much easier to tighten the bracket screws with the inboard wheels out of the way.
Don't know if anyone else has the Skiwheelz, but that mod is way cool and will be very useful for me.

Feedback
I just thought I would update this topic, since I have had some extensive seat time since the installs.
The exhaust sounds perfect IMHO. It's not too loud and has a nice "bark" when you get on it. Nowhere near as loud as most of the 2-strokes I ride with. In fact I am probably getting used to it, because it does not seem much louder than stock. The visuals are off-the scale, and out on the trails, at rest stops and junctions, I have had other Nytro owners notice it right away and ask about it. One guy was behind me as we stopped to cross a highway and he waved to me to stop and asked where I got it from...
The Hyfax savers- The biggest thing I notice is how the sled rolls easier, and also there is no question that I am getting better gas mileage now. There's a trail route I take that has a rest/fuel about 70 miles one way from my house. I know how much gas I usually use. I was able to get there and have my gauge one full bar higher than it usually is. Got home with more gas left than usual yesterday.
Between the exhaust and the wheels, my sled feels noticibly faster, pulls harder. I just can't say which is helping more, as I did both at the same time.
The SkiWheelz? These things flat out ROCK. We have some long stretches where you have to ride along the side of the road or cross the interstate on concrete bridges with no shoulders. These things are awesome IMHO. Also makes getting gas super easy, no more "point and shoot" for the pumps and having to grab the skis and point it where I want it to go. I rode in heavy powder yesterday and they do not throw up snow as some said they would. Maybe that's another brand. I'd spend the money again on these in a heartbeat. These are also something other sled owners asked me about several times, especially at the fuel stop. Even a friend of mine who's rode sleds for years said he had never heard of these things. I found that interesting. I guess they must be more common up in Canada...?
Anyway, just thought I would share my impressions so far.

Port - the Dual Exhaust is KILLER! I'm adding the Hyfax kit this summer as well and the YamaHeater ROCKS!
Can you tell me more about the "Comfort Clutch" kit? I'm tired of jerking out on every start and spinning the track to trailer my Nytro. Plus - my son can hardly ride the sled in tight places because he's jerking so much with the clutch engaging the way it does.
I have my track studded so when I have to spin the track it's chewing up my driveway and my better half is going to kill me in the Spring!
