I've had the 06 bars on mine for about 2 weeks & they work great,it probably will void you warrantee if something should happen ,but at least mine hands are warm.m2c And yes the bars are slightly different & you will have to install the hand guard brackets upside down so they wont rub on the tank.
So I wonder, if a guy put the elements from a 06 apex on a 08 Nitro , would you get some results?. I looked at the 06 handlebars, with a riser a guy might get them close, but I really don't wanna burn anything out electrically. I'm also wondering if a person added another HOT wire BEFORE the switch to aid in power possibly.

I believe the 2006 bars are a bit thicker so a small riser would work just fine & if your consernd about hurting the electronics just dont turn them up too high or add a resistor.

I used an on/off/on switch.
Hook the hand warmers to the common terminal on the switch; hook the original hand warmer power feed to the low position on switch, with the switch set to low the factory warmer switch will work as normal;
Then take power( I came off the headlight feed) and hook to high position on switch.
To keep the ECU happy, you must turn factory hand warmer switch all the way to off before switch the switch to high.
This is on an RX1, but I am sure the same can be done to the newer sleds.
