Yep, does make sense. Guess I will need to give it a bit more thought this week although I kind of had my heart set on going back to a black yamaha after quite a few years..... Don't think you could go wrong with any Apex this year...especially in my case comming off a 2000 SRX.

Man, are you in for a shock. But it will be a good one!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And the std is just fine right :)

Love the SE too but I still think the std Apex has a better overall trail ride.

Yes it's awesome thank you for the advice. I jumped on my nytro and the apex is so plush compared to the nytro. The nytro is a true mogal masher. This apex is going to rock on the trail!!!

what happened with the 800 and 900 cat and also the assualt in that race diggler?

I raced the zr900 4 times won 3 of 4 in pounding fashion. Only loss was after some huge spinning early didn't have the distance to catch him. The other three races I smoked him. The last race he pointed at me and gave me a thumbs up

The f8 and the 2011 800 assult are owned by my buddy. The 800 is the pre ho 800 that has no chance. This how he describes the race with the assault "I jump your apex to 60 and you freight train past me lime a rocket and never look back!!! My buddy is a big guy. We traded sleds same result. I jump him on the 800 and he catches and passes me.

Mind you my apex is already heavier then the assault.

All you guys are spot on with the speed thing. I have a 2011 128, and it is really insane how quick this sled is. I was riding with a guy with doo 800 and he could corner better than me because of the damn skis, but straights, forget it. I could catch him so quickly it was scary. I don't know if he was holding back a little on the straights because we were not racing. I put a set of dually carbides on, and man what a difference. Now I can crank it up with no darting.

well i have a 2011 apex xtx 440 mi on it . i love the sled but i feel like i got a slow one!!!! :o| i raced dirks new apex with 10 mi on it and i weight 60lbs less then him and he just flat out kicks my butt . and im studded!!! i do not understand.... i had a 2007 attak and that thing would pretty much beat just about anything thats not boosted!!! :die

Tighten that track up and then give it a try!! I am surprised no has done that yet? The Apex XTX's have minimal clearance with track stretching out it's riding against your protectors, therefore killing your MPH.

Mad russian...be patient, it will get there.
Have 370 miles on my XTX and saw 10,500 once and for the first time yesterday. I trust what the guys are saying that have more miles on them and are hitting 10,700 to 10,900.
I believe 10,200 is where you want it to shift out anyway for best ue of the torque.
I will ad that the black backing with red digits on the tach sucks to read. The previous white with black numbers is much easier to see.
The speedo's on the 2011 are supposed to be more accurate so, the dream meter of past seeing 130 are not real. We have two super charged Apex's that see about 130 top end which is more like 115.
They just make it easier to go SPLAT faster!

This isn't this issue acctaully he's got his track to tight.

yea i think my track was to tight, i loosend it up today and went back out to see if ot made a difference. well it did a little bit. i picked up 100 to 150 rpm and gained 2mph. i guess i need to give it time and see what hapens. :drink: :drink: :drink:

Clearance on all the Apex XTX's I have seen is fine.

The 128's are a little tight for stud clearance though.
