Wow...those bars are up there...look like ape hangers .....lol......

And they're still maybe half an inch low for when I stand. They're pretty comfortable when I sit though.

I have a similar set up on my 09 xtx. I'm 6.3" and 250. I installed a Power Mad Pivot Riser (7" Rise) with the relocator. I just had my seat redone adding 5" to it. I stand most of the time aswell, and with the stock seat position, it was like I was riding w 18" Apes....a little hard to steer lol.

hey

How much of a riser is on there, and did the stock cables fit? Thnx tim

It's got the LakeEffect xtx Pivot riser on it, plus the OFT Relocate, total rise is about 6" from stock. I had to reroute the throttle cable (per oft relocate instructions) and the E-brake cable. I purchased a braided extended brake line from SBM, but I think I could've rerouted the brake line the same way I did the e-brake line (which was over the radiator and straight down, instead of snaked around the radiator shroud as stock.

How are your front shocks b1r2s? looking into a 13 xtx

Weak. I've hit a few mud/water holes and bottomed the front shocks out each time. One shot hurt right through my arms. Will probably look to have them revalved.

Do you have them adjusted pretty firm or just stock as of now? I'm really considering this 13 xtx i found. just worried about the shocks. I had fox floats so used to being able to be rough on them.

I got out on my new 13 XTX 1.75 last weekend in Rangeley, Maine. I also own a 2006 Apex. My Nytro is setup with the OFT relocator and the WRP tall seat, the rest is basically stock. I'm 6'3", 225lbs. The Nytro is soooo different from the Apex. I do like the feel, especially while standing. I also noticed it pushed a bit in the turns and figured out it need more body english to get it to stick. I only put about 50 miles on it, so I haven't played with the suspension yet.

Another thing I did notice is that the grip warmers actually work!

I have the front shocks at stock. I'm going to set them to the Star recommended setting of no preload and give that a shot. Plans this weekend, and warm weather coming up, so it may be a while before I get it out again.

You mean I wasted money putting in a Yamaheater? :)

I installed a Yamaheater set up on the Apex, but I don't think I'll need to on the new Nytro. The temp was in the single digits when I rode it and I had to turn it way down. My thumb did get a bit cold, but it could have been because it was my first ride. I was also wearing my thin Yamaha Klim gloves. If my thumb gets cold on my next rides, I may add a thumb booster.

what you mean no preload? What other adjustments are on those shocks than the spring?

my concern as well! yamaha took the cheap way out for the 13 sleds. to make things worse they offer a great shock package overseas on the 1.75 nytro! search nytro TTX (we got screwed here in the states) I hope they get their act together for 2014

Stone9, i mean adjusting the front shocks to take all of the possible pressure off of the front springs.

Got another 60 miles finally. After adjusting the front shocks to have no threads showing on the springs, it handled a million times better. Trail conditions ranged from 10" powder to beat down bumpy trails. I experienced no darting, no bottoming on front or rear, and no push under any condition. Totally thrilled with this setup.

One more observation, the temp ranged from 18-24f today, and with the yamaheater combined with the apparently warmer 2013 grip warmers, at 1 bar the grips were pretty cool, and at 2 bars they were flaming hand grips from hell... Just a note, that I would probably not recommend that someone add a yamaheater (not that it's not a great product, just not needed).
