Put about 80 mls on with 2 teeth off speedo gear, drops the miles alot but speed seems alot more real.Gas consumption is still better than most. Mono susp. is alot better than proaction but not perfect yet .New snow 6-8 ins. above frzing rain sleet more snow.Susp. handle most things very good but did bottoma few times on small g-outs felt like the whole sled bottomed 2-3 footers and abrut small bumps with power on.also tried to high sideya if I used to much power coming out of certain corners. with better throttle control it did pretty well on tight twisties power is awsomeand track hooks good.Sled is deff. more of a hand full than piped viper I rode last couple years.I like it a lot I'll try some of the adj. I see on these ty pages thanks. now the ugly 80 mls from home stopped for gas went to restart sled no power.after short search, sleet rain, fog ,dark, I took out nylon strap sugg. on ty(thanks again)wrapped on primary sled started right up.Tach erad. lights up&down warning light on &off no hand warmers, not happy.I did make it back ,lost all power at the cowl except for occl. jump. I had looked at wires under front bulkhead and wrapped with coiled prot. but have some issues I'll have to really look now any thoughts, not used to this with yammies ,trying not to whine. Don

Wow Don.. how many miles? What electrical components were touched during any upgrades? As with a motorcycle the first thing is to check ALL conectors, grounds, etc. Good luck

For the suspension, what I find is a very nice setup is:
- Weight transfer set to minimum (till it won't turn anymore).
- Front limiter strap tightened up by two positions (one tighter than middle position).
- Mono-shock spring seat clip on 2nd position and spring on #5 position (this depends on your weight and how much travel you want to use - I'm about 240-250 ready to ride and ride aggressively). One other thing I notice here is if it's very cold out the ice building up under the tunnel adds a lot of weight (I would guess over 30 lbs).
- RA adjuster set 3 clicks softer than middle for comfortable cruising.
- RA adjuster set either 3, 6, or 9 clicks stiffer than middle for aggressive riding with no bottoming on big drop outs or landings (depending on how rough the trail is/how hard I'm riding).
With this setup, I can't say enough positive about the suspension - It rocks!

vtxrider I went out checked every thing I could check pulled some protective coatings off if they looked suspect, did find a couple things I changed routeing and a little more prot.on a couple wires that were taped for rubbing wear. Finally got to the marine gell battery,It looked fine all conections tight no dings in battery foam lining holder secure battery had not moved, but when we jumped it all was fine .seems to be a short in the plates.Just a fluke? I don't know but I'm sure the insides have a lot of pressure on them.I'm thinking I'll try one more unless they do this regularly.thanks for the reply. Almost rx-1 I was 2 clicks on the mono shock spring tighter than stock 1/2 way between std and min on transfer and 1-2 clicks stiffer on ride adjustment. I' about 200# dressed to ride I'll try moving to your adjs. thanks guys. Don

The ice build up thing is right on. My sled sat out side last night for the first time where I was staying and all day today I was bottoming out on everything. I was quite disappointed because I thought I had the thing set up.
