Exactly! Now put a fully dressed rider on after a big Nacho Grande and you are riding 850-900lbs!!we need wet weight with full gas... anything else is impossible to compare

2017 Sidewinder LTX-LE
I already did the math.
Skidoo 1200 505lbs dry
Mpi kit 46lbs (on mpi website)
551lbs dry. This doesn't include any extras, motec or what have you.
Also factor in, drivetrain components.
Should weigh in appx and very close to a Sidewinder.
Now cost to build a 2017 skidoo and no warranty!!?? Pass.....
I weighed my 2014 1200 Turbo Renegade plum full of fuel and studs, ready to ride at #605, the MCX turbo added 19 lbs total and the lightweight battery took off almost 12 lbs. I can get it below 600 lbs with the lightweight silencer, but its not fun to ride with the noise maker so I run the modded stock muffler.
If I'm not mistaken the sidewinder LTX has been weighed dry at 595 or so pounds with no studs or fuel. Does not seem too close to me. The winder is no where as light as I thought it would be. Its right up there with the Suzuki powered version and the power steering Apex!!! Add fuel and studs and it right up there much closer to 700 lbs ready to ride.
Now if you want to save some weight take off 12 lbs for the battery and about 10-12 for a light silencer that will be too loud and you can get closer, but still not close to a 1200 with turbo added or even a Viper with a turbo added. The winder got a little porky somehow.
But none the less at least you've seen the light going with a four-stroke with some power over the antique two-strokes!!

Coming off newer Apex which I still own and enjoy very much, I'm guessing this should be much lighter. I figured Apex was 700 easy with my nacho grande on it. Even giving up 175 pounds I take the doos on the long Northern Quebec sweepers so I am looking forward to what this will do.

I was going off DC5's word of 564 & 584 with similar mods. 584 plus 10 for Hindle muffler plus 6lb savings for average battery=600lbs. 1/3 of tank means about 6 more gallons at 6lbs each. My calculation according to DC5=635 to 640 fueled up in morning ready to go. His 1200 would be about 20lbs less...I weighed my 2014 1200 Turbo Renegade plum full of fuel and studs, ready to ride at #605, the MCX turbo added 19 lbs total and the lightweight battery took off almost 12 lbs. Exactly what everybody wants. While you're at it, can you go buy a brand new POO & 850 & weigh them also...what's $30,000 amongst friends...Next time I fill them up I will weigh them both full of fuel
