First Ride With Shapers

Installed the Shaper bars over the summer. Rode 150 miles on them Thursday and felt like I was on a totally different sled. No darting at all. Stayed right on my buddy's a$$ all day long which I could not do at all last year.

Did you shim the skis? And what carbides did you have last year?

The only change I made was the carbides. Last year I used 6" Woody's.

I also used the shapers I love them, I never rode the sled with anything else so its hard to compare

I am thinking of getting a set, but there is not much packed base in the area yet and that would also affect darting.

Was there a packed base ?

There was quite a bit of packed base. A couple of sections had actually been groomed.

If you are worried about darting they also make a dolly shaper bar.

I have the new "DUECE" bar on my vector.. Man are these things great... They look like the shaper bar on the out sides, yet are dual runners like the woody dooly's.. They go straight... And hug the corners so much better than the dooly's I used last year.. Fantastic bars.. I paided $35.oo per bar. MM.
