Changed thr oil filter myself for the first time on my 07 GT ( dealer did it before). My god my hands look like i've been in a bare knuckle fight. And i have small hands. That filter was on tight. Had to do the screwdriver thru the filter trick to get it off. Installed a K&N filter so that should make life easier next time. Took the airbox off and went in through the top.
Now I know why Yamaha recommends the filter change at 20,000 kms.

^^ That's good to know and probably not a bad idea when I'm doing the exhaust anyways.

I find takeing off the front end is soo much easier to change oil, look in faq for more information^^ That's good to know and probably not a bad idea when I'm doing the exhaust anyways.
