machzed said:Im not sure but i think the BRP pilots are helping,i think the same way simmons help,by extending your ski stance due to the carbides being at outer edges, not positive but i did notice a huge improvement with skis, although i did the other stuff at same time....I do think the limiter is way too long when you lower the front this much..It still loose when its in tightest hole and laying flat.
Mighty,i never had a sled with heat exchangers under footwell,i was actually thinking the heat would HELP them stick better??..but it sounds like you have had them come off there eh?..Ill keep close eye on mine.
Other then the paint there .....the sleds fit n finish is amazing.and it looks great, with my many coats of wax....and armor all.
I want to know what these apexs are geared for in theory.( 24/38 )....as ive heard many guys talking about installing a 23 top tooth, but i run radars and lakes and am looking for top speed,so gearing down seems crazy to me,but ive heard this thing is geared in theory for 145mph?...is that correct?...if so gearing it to 23 tooth should still be 138 or so in theory...which is still far tall enough.
Im making my ram air kit today....ill try to post pics...it involves, sewing, needle and thread, coat hanger,18x18 prefilter material from SLP and black plastic mesh from depot..LOL...been a few days in the making of this design...i want it to look good.
thanks
Dan
Someone suggested to me 24/40 gearing (1.67 ratio) Stock is 1.57 and 23/38 is 1.65
Has anyone tried? These gears are expensive!

TT670 said:Regarding the gearing, using my gear chart at 1:1 the stock gearing figures out to roughly a real 115mpg..theres no way theyre geared even close to 130.
TT670...
I have spoke to a few guys with SC and turbos who are running mid 130s with stock gearing....Im not sure if your thoery is right....i really would like to know what we are geared for though...
thanks

They say it's geared for 117 at a 1:1 shift, but I can't see how if other guys are using it to pull the same gears in a turbo or SC and are getting 130-145mph with the same gears on the gun.

i think all the guys running 135 or higher on on dreameter....which makes more sense....that means stock gearing actual on the gun should in theory be about 120-125ish.....which is about what i want....im thinking 23 top would only run in theory 117-121 ish.
thanks everyone..

Who knows if it really works...I just figured i would try it out,its not costing me much to make it so im trying it...if i dont like it i will just buy another stock LID and put back to stock..the lids arent too pricey.I think about 50 bucks.
I know its louder for sure...But if it slams air into the box at top speed Im hoping it will make a pony or two extra....gotta get all we can outa these motors.
Im nearly done with my ram kit...Ive taken pics and will post a thread on how i did it...I went with a slightly less amount of air then the FIX kit...

I'm no fortune teller but I see a SC or turbo in your future! Or maybe even
