very disatisfied i have 2 phazers the suspension suck , top speed down hill should be faster then 80 kmh my old relic ski-doo went faster, dealers suck with service. i guess i could go on and on seems i have to purchase more stuff to make it do 120 kmh a least. and the suspension was way to soft out of the box my girlfriend managed to bend the back of the tunnel and she is maybe 90 pounds. from what i have read no one seems to have a clue on how to make these things faster or just don't want to share. (besides a turbo and 80hp is more then enough) i'am thinking about going back to the bee .
 

Mtn lite gearing keeps it at about 70mph tops(i've seen 72)

Its sweet spot is 45-50 does great, exactly how
its designed.

You want more speed then regear it, but you'll lose
out on the powerband.

Flat Boondocking like the topic, it does great, unless you are in 5+ feet
of bone dry fluff.. then you have to work for your cookie.. ;)
 
I ride mainly off trail boondockin. That means in the woods where there are trees. That's what I bought it for. No need to go even 30 mph where I ride, It does well in powder. It's not designed for speed. How are needing more speed boondockin?
 
80 km/hr? Had one of our Mtn lites on groomed trail last week and 120 (guage not GPS) was no problem. Yes, suspension could use a bit more umph unless you are riding in 2 - 3 ft of powder all the time. 80 hp is fine most of the time unless you are really trying to play in the mountains then you should really get a bigger sled. Yesterday was a short ride in 2 to 3 ft of wet untramped snow on narrow (woods) trails in hilly terrain with no problem.

I don't know what some folks are at to buckle their tunnels (especially the ones who insist that they only ride on trails). We ride all off trail in lots of woods and bush and really like our sleds - only issue so far is a slightly tweaked front a arm despite runnning over lots of trees and rocks plus a few thumps against stumps. No we don't fly our machines across roads but I would recommend that if you want to do that take the sled apart and completely reinforce it top to bottom as you will likely have to do with any stock sled / atv / or off road vehicle. Just an observation.
 
I am 225 lbs and haven't bent anything on this sled yet... I have bent plenty of other sleds, usually my own fault resulting from something I did. As far as riding in untouched snow through trees, you can't beat this thing. The power is totally useable. Yeah there are times when more power would be nice, but hey I would not buy an S-10 and expect it to pull like my Duramax. It is the buyers responsibility to purchase a sled that will fit their needs. I see people all the time on 800 and 1000 cc mountain sleds who never leave the trail. I went down in size when I bought the Phazer because my son is learning to ride and I figured I didn't need the big HP for awhile. I have been pleasantly suprissed at where this thing will go. Sorry you are so disatisfied, mabe test ride something before you purchase it next time.
 
heres where i ride and test ride whats that the dealer says. i like the motor and the look of the sled but the suspension should have been chaged but the dealer and regeared. i have a old 500 136 track and it seen more places untill it died. my sled mech. side it should do better then it does. heres a few picks of where i ride.

I agree 100% with what you have to say. We got to get out for a ride!!!

Just got back from a nice night ride up the Entiat. My wife and I unloaded just past Brief and rode up to Jr. Point. A few inches of fresh snow, and then rode back down and out to Cottonwood. Little over 60 miles in the moonlight.

My wife is riding the phazer mt. lite. She loves it. I actually take it out on occassion, cause I love the lightness and ablity to side hill so easily. Does it have the power of my FX Nytro MTX.... no, does it go as fast WOF.... no, does it take me everywhere I want to ride, YES, and it does some other things better than my FXNytro MTX as well.

Shoprat had it right when he said buy what you NEED, not what someone else tells you, or because you wanted a specific look. If you wanted a scary fast WOF sled......... the phazer is not your ride, especially a MTX with the lower gearing.
 
well i talked to the guy at the dealer he said i have to talk to the boss about trading up to a the nitro. if not i will be getting the spring edition xp
