Supply list for traditional skis:
2 - 2×4×10'
3 - 2×4×8'
4 - 3/4" conduit
1 box 1 1/4" screws
1 box 2 1/2 screws
Old track
Optional corner brackets but mine has alway held with just screws

Looks great

You'll see mine has been modified for SplitRails but for traditional skis measure to the outside of the keels and this will be the inside dimension of your 10' 2x4's.
Attach conduit to top and bottom. This will allow the skis to slide up the ramp and allow the loaded ramp to slide in your pickup easier.
Using some trial and error notch the bottom of the conduit and slightly into the 2x4 so you are only picking up about 100 lbs.

The notch is to hold the ramp in place when you load and unload. Always go slow when driving into the ramp. I've had it stand up and hit me in the head. Load on packy or powder snow, never ice. Always load on level or slightly downhill. He the ramp skies back when you lift it, most likely it will end up on top of you (been there)

Correction: if the ramp slides back most likely it will end up on top of you (been there )
That's awesome I'd like to build something for my truck just my only problem is I have a Colorado so the box is smaller one of the skis have sit on top of the wheel well.

Build the side rails with 2x6's so it sits above the wheel wells. Also, measure to the inside of the ski keels to make it narrow. Just be careful when loading as an A-arm suspension becomes wider when compressed

That's what I was thinking about doing. Just kinda sucks. But beats pulling a trailer everywhere
