I agree with everything about the Apex , but when you put on the WPS hi rise seat , it takes care of the knee issue .My family has all owned apexs', and they all still own them. However the switch to the sidewinder has been a huge game changer for everybody. You can ride longer and faster with less fatigue and discomfort. Everybody that has gone from an apex to a sidewinder chassis first believes that the apex is just as good, and then jump on the apex and can't get back to the sidewinder fast enough. I have seen this with absolutely everybody making the change. Personally my knees can't take the apex sitting position anymore. Nothing against the apex, it is probably the best bang for your buck backup sled you could ask for. That's my opinion anyways.
I am trying to find a mountain seat for my red/white 17 LTX-LE , as that appears as the best fix for the knees on the Sidewinder.

I have a '17 RTX LE. My set up has a lot of Rockerdan's thread. The fox qs3r shock package rocks! I rarely touch how I have the rear suspension set, handles all conditions well and only change shock setting on front to fit snow conditions (loose or packed). I have 5.7 pilots with aggressive snowtrackers, over 2,000 miles on the snowtrackers and no reason to change out yet. Invest time in the set up and you will love the sled.

Agree. Can't tell about other 129's as I have been spoiled with the QS3R shock package on all shocks including adjustable center. I too have set up solid and only adjust front shocks from 1 to 2 and occasionally the rear when needed.
