I have an old 1994 250 Timberwolf 4x4. The forward/reverse selector will not move. I'm not sure what position it is currently in but I cannot engage the transmission. Vehicle is currently in neutral. Any help on what I should try?

on my moto4 there is a button u press while moving it (like a automatic car shifter). if yours has one, maybe its broken?

sounds like the shifer shaft is broken inside the case. seen this happen before on the trimoto 200/225's. my uncle got lucky in that his broke when it was in 1st gear so he was still able to use the bike. buddy of his was not so lucky and broke in neutral while in the bush. had to get towed out by a honda.
