The last fox shocks I had were on a mid 90's Polaris.

These shocks needed a rebuild every few weeks. [1,000 miles or so]

Since then I have had Yamaha's with Kayaba's, Ohlin's, GYTR's none of which except the 2006 Ohlins mono hardly ever needed a rebuild.

Are fox floats a needy high maitenance shock like the old ones or pretty much a long time between rebuilds shock.

X2 On Fox not a big Fox fan. Fell in luv with Kayaba's, Ohlin's, GYTR's very robust shocks. Doos shocks suck rebuild every 3500 miles but have 5000+ on Yam Apex Attak Ohlin's & GYTR's still going strong. I would not be disappointed to have Fox air shocks dropped by Yam for better shock. Also not a big fan of air shocks on prior Yams always was harsh ride compared to Ohlin's, GYTR's.

What do you do carry around a hand pump & where does it store on board?
X2 I love the the electric and clicker shocks on my GT 10,000 miles on them and they have never been touched since new!!! They still ride like new and besides a broken wire 0 problems!!! ;)! Fox Floats???

My Ohlins rear shock lasted 2000 miles...

after that..no more gas..

Fox. sounded bad at first, since then, they have come a long way..

an air shock doesn't usually last more than a season or two before needing rebuilding..

Too bad Yam didn't use FAST air shocks on SE I would like that better than Fox & trust FAST if I was using an air shock. I think you would have instant acceptance with FAST air shocks. Not feeling warm fuzzies with Fox due to bad past exprience with Fox shocks.

Whats funny is the third Karpik brother, the one not involved with Fast, has been working on and off with various yamaha racing teams on suspension setups. They currently have bolt on shocks for the Nytro and I think Apex and I've been bugging Fast to get my Phazer in there to fit up some Air shocks on my sled.
