I think what I'm going to do is find a pressure that I really like and then fill the air chamber to that pressure with Nitrogen instead of air. This should keep the pressure more constant in changing temperatures. Once I get them set I can't see changing them.

It all depends on how much you like to tweak your settings. I know there was a few times last year that I was messing with my front springs due to snow or trail conditions.
Can you mix air and nitrogen together? I am just wondering if you ever had a problem on the trail, or noticed that one shock needs pressure, what would you do?

how hard is it to check the settings? why use nitrogen when u can just use the pump and air...?

It's pretty easy to change the setting, just screw the pump hose onto the shock valve and add or release air. The pain will be getting the hood panel off to get to the pump...
Nitrogen does not contract or expand nearly as much as air with temp variations. He is thinking that when he finds the sweet spot for him, he will empty the shock and refill with nitrogen to that pressure. That would give him more consistant shock performance with temp changes...

This is going to sound like a dumb question, but here goes.
Everyone is saying to adjust them with the skis off the ground (though I see no mention of this in my RTX manual).
Fine and dandy in the shop. How are you going to tweak them on the trail? Now I know the answer is likely to tip the sled, but I'm not lying by saying I don't know how to do this, never have, I have never had a need.
I'm guessing you don't just grab the handle bars and pull towards you to do this, as that woudl be a lot of "odd" stress on the handle bars? How does one do this?

yes its a PIA......find some soft snow on the edge of the trail and grab the bars in one hand and the suspension in the other and giver all yah got.

I run 105 psi also. I had the shocks down around 75-80 psi but when I was racing I found the sled was wanting to roll over to the outside when hitting some of the corners. Especially on the rivers. I have seen some pictutres of me coming around corners on the rivers sections. Taking a left turn hanging off the left side of the sled and you can see the sled leaning to the right (outside) I bumped the shocks up to 105 psi and it is much flatter now in the corners. Granted this is for race conditions and might be to stiff for trail riding.

at over 75psi that must be impossible to turn?
I run my xtx at 90psi and find it works good for me. Less body roll. Is a little stiff but I kinda like it that way.

make sure you check or adjust the middle shock not just the fronts. they should work in unison to properly transfer weight in and out of the corners
