Another use for duct tape.
I tape off the ends of my exhaust for storage.
Heard the steel wool works good too.
Don't know about using newspaper, it's like supplying nesting material IMO

I use to wrap a plastic baggy around my 2-smokes to keep the moisture out of the engine and well as plugging the air intake. I'm not too sure about the steel wool idea, last year I found a nest made in a bag of steel wool in one of my cabinets.

They love using newspaper to make nests. It won't keep them out, but at least you will know they were there. I'd rather use steel wool.

I found old panty hose and moth balls always do the trick.

What kind of women do you know that have panty hose that repel rodents?

I've been using aluminum foil and rubberbands on the exhaust and airbox of all my sleds for last 3 years, not a single mouse. The dryer sheets also work great in the trailer around the sleds, and in travel trailers-(no smell)
