Front bushing advise??

Getting ready to put the Apex back together. and I need to replace all the bushings in the front end.
I've heard alot of people talking about Ulmer's bushing kit, but when getting ready to send my shocks out to Pioneer, I noticed they hae a bushing kit as well. I know they are 2 different materials, but I'd like to know if anybody has any experiece with the Nylatron bushings? They definately have to be better than the stockers, but what's the concensus?

my above post in all fairness i live in the u.p. of mich, i have been riding
for 40 yrs, my oilite bushings have 1200 miles on them, they are still tight,
but i ride mostly groom trails if it gets to rough i get off trail and head
home.
 
I've said this about the Nytro I'm getting as well. I think adding a either a grease port (needle type) or a fitting to the bushing area will help either type. With that I'm going witht the oilite and adding fittings to the Nytro. If they wear out after all of that, it's hopeless.
 
So, either one is better than stock, I assume, but this sled is going to be more for show, and groomed trail use, but I do ride hard. I wish I could say I do the miles some of you guys do, but I still only have managed 1600 miles on the Apex. I usually don't ride much around home for miles, and pound the miles on when I travel..
It looked like the kit from Pioneer has the spindle bushings also, whereas the Ulmer ones only have the bulkhead side?? The Pioneer ones are abotu 60 bucks....
 
oillite - Ulmer Racing supplies both an oillite and a nylatron bushing kit.
 
I just don't want different kinds of bushings in different places. As long as whatever kit I buy has all the front bushings
 
I replaced all the front bushings last year. All the bushings in the spindle were still like new. The only ones that were worn were the bulkhead. Which as you know are the most difficult to change.
 
Either way you go, the aftermarket kits are a bit cheaper than OEM.

A word of caution though, the bushings in the kit are not all you need. There are some "cupped washers." Also, in the past, the kits did not include all the bushings that you needed. Although, we hammered the perp. enough it looks like they took care of that this year. ;)!
 
I went with the Ulmer kit last year on qty 3, 06 Apex and can asure you that they are excellent bushings. The kit included all bushings for the front end. I can't comment on the pioneer kit as I have never used it but I do recall that when I was ordering the Ulmer kit I noticed the Pioneer kit did not include all the bushings. This may be differant now and someone else may be able to confirm.
 
I ordered the factory bushings for the spindle side just in case the kit doesn't have to outer bushings. Vince has an Ulmer bushing kit I'll be buying.
