Got the Barcode kit on both our Viper MTX. Super happy with them. Makes the sled way more maneuverable in all scenarios. I love it.

I'm having a real hard time deciding.. Anyone try the Alt Impact kit?? I really like the new spindles...Probably just end up with the factory kit.
 
After a looooong debate with my self. I went with the barcode kit. Wasn't sure of it, that far forward. Swivel mounts. I had a chance to ride the 2016 36 kit it was much better than the 2015 38" What lead me to the Barcode it was the fact that I could replace parts if needed. Bend or break a heim. Just replace it. No need to replace the entire arm. Plus the kit came with a steering mod. Damn that is worth the cost of the kit right there. I can tun on freekin dime, and its sooo easy to install. Reading on other forums, the other steering mods you need to almost dismantle the entire front end of the sled. The Barcode kit just bolts on. Makes the install way less stressful. As for the new 2016 spindles. oddly enough to me they look kind weak. But I'm sure time will tell if they are or not. Ive been out on it a couple of times so far and it is well worth the investment, to me. My next big purchase is going to be the 3" powerclaw. With the two I should be able to crawl threw the trees.
 
I didn't ride them back to back. But Im very please with my decision to go with the Barcode kit. I find it better for turning and getting on edge. Nothing against the 2016 arms n spindles. But I wanted something more, and there kit defiantly delivered.
 
After much thought, I'm sticking with the zbroz 38 inch kit and new spindle... any easier to get on edge than this and I feel it'll be too tippy and unstable for me. I'm loving the handling compared to my old xp freeride.

Got the Bar Code installed and tested out. I have the pro-motion on my suspension so the sled was already easy to tip over and rode great in powder, I ordered the Barcode one night when I was drinking to many beers in front of my computer. Anyway here's my review. Backed sled out of the garage and turned while backing and rolled the dang thing, but caught it. I knew right then I was in for a treat. Rode about two miles to get to some powder (dry powder only about 18 to 20 inches) where I could test it out. Trail manners are pretty bad the narrow front end and the pivoting rear end work together flawlessly to make the trail ride a real chore. Handle bar pressures are increased, probably due to the spindles being moved forward, and there was no darting, but corners need to be taken carefully. Once in the powder, WOW. This thing is FUN. I can turn the sled just by tilting my head. Extremely responsive and held the turn without dumping even at extreme angles. I was really seeing if just hanging body parts out would make it turn. Arms take over quite a bit, a leg will bring it over quickly and a tilt of the head (with helmet) will bring about a slow banking turn. A+ for powder handling and maneuverability. A+ for fun. C- for trail handling, but I hardly ever ride on a trail. C- for instructions, (needs a parts list) but still not hard to figure out. Can't compare it to the new front end. Heading out for a real ride this Saturday down near Denali, so we will see how it holds up to some abuse.
 
Yup tippy on the trail for sure. But its not built for trail riding. One trick I found is to add air to the front shocks when on the trail. I normally run them at about 90/95psi. But I'll add 20 psi when on the trial. It really helps with the tippy feeling when going around corners I love our kit. I didn't find the instructions to bad. Just need to take your time with the install.

I don't think it would be nearly as tippy on another sled. The pro-motion I have puts a longitudinal pivot point in the suspension like skidoo's T motion. This already made for bad trail manners on my sled, but I normally only ride about 200 yards on a trail before getting in the real snow. Biggest problem with the instructions is there are several types of bolts and washers. It would be nice if the instructions said install this part with bolt B and washer C. I almost used the wrong washer order on the upper shock mount. Still not difficult to figure out and the installation is pretty easy, so this not a reason to not purchase the kit. So far I love the kit, and would buy it again. Waiting to see how it stands up to a real ride with some high drops.
