Front Storage Bag Pictures

Wow alot of people piss and moan about anything on here,we just picked up our sleds yesterday and our bags were not installed yet,so john went and got them,he just tucked the front of the bag in under the bar,and installed the hood with the hood bracket under the bar it attaches to ,and be careful that the bag does not interfair with the hood tab,in other words it the tab tucks under the bar and does not hang up on the bag,and than he took the bag strap and unhooked the air box rubber tie down and tucked it behind the airbox holder and reinstalled the rubber tie down over it,done.... looks good and it will hold alot of stuff, now yammi went from being no 4 in space to hold stuff to 1st place, now we have more reg. storage than any other regular stock sled, now this does not mean that some touring rig that has built in saddle bags has more room, but for a ditch banger type sled we rule lol ;)!

I just picked one up myself from Port at the Milwaulkee show yesterday. Looks pretty kool. This is where I will keep my pump and the jumper cables. I need to quit buying stuff for this sled, I haven't even really riden it yet and i have almost a grand in it already. lol.

LMAO That's why you are "1CrazySledder"! Your just owning up to the name you gave yourself!

These look great. Will they fit on the 05 RX-1 if the tool kit is removed first?

I'm sure we won't hear you complain you can't go riding because you can't afford to go every weekend. 8)

Nope, that you won't. Only maybe the complaining how much it cost me to drive to the northwoods to ride in a '95 GMC 7.4L 3/4 Ton Burban pulling a four placer. OUCH. Pulling nothing I get 11 mpg. I would never sell that truck either, though.

you need to loosen the bolt that the electrical box is attached with and just turn it down for the bag to fit better. It fits without doing it also but I didi it anyway.
Turn it which way, so the box is more verticle or so the box sits more flat. I'm looking at my GT and I'm not sure what they are talking about either? Any help, a pic is worth a thousand words.

Don't turn the box. Just the ground wire that attaches to it. It kind of sticks up and could tear the bag. Just lossen it and spin it so the eyelet points down.

Yes, but why would they say to to turn the box then.....

It doesn't say to turn the box. Someone on here said it did.

It does in my installation instructions.

All I can tell you is I installed mine last week and the instructions said to turn the eyelet. I threw the instructions away so I can't prove it. Why would you need to turn the box anyway? Can you scan the instructions and post them?

Mine never had any instructions. I just set it there and put the little strap through the front latch for the air box top.

OK, I just went out and took my bag out to look at again. The only thing I can see that you MIGHT need to do is, loosen the 12mm bolt and nut that are underneath the box. After you do that, rotate the box as far forward as you can. That puts the cooling fins straight up and down so they aren't in contact with the bag. That's about all I think you would ever have to do to it.

That's what I was thinking or was I to turn it so the box is sitting flat and not verticle. I will see if I can get my scanner going and scan it in.
