Went up 10 no hesitation off the line, will have to run it to see the midrange and top.

Just came back from a short ride, bottom, mid, top all feel good. I went +10 on all cylinders as it appeared it was not getting enough fuel.
My sled stock has a bad miss lots of the time when you slam the gas and all the way to mid and a little on top. Sled bone stock??? 700 miles or so am i lean?

mine (stock) has a lean bog......seems like its more noticible on real cold days which makes sense I guess.
Man the efi should see this and add fuel from the inputs air temp ect.....

A stock FX Nytro should be rich in the mid and top end. At least that's what I was told by a reputable dyno tuner nearby.

listen, I'm nitpicking. I dont want to hijack this thread. Mine has a little hesitation when I hit it hard, its still waaaaay better than any 2 stroke I ever owned as far as the motor goes.

If you have a slight hesitation i am 99% sure your lean. I can not believe the difference in performance in my nytro when i disconnect the fuel accelerator. The added fuel really perks up low & mid range plus i have zero hesitation.

gormleyflyer the reason we are talking about the hesitation is because we swapped out the stock exhaust. Now that the exhaust is free flowing it tends to lean things out on certain exhaust applications. The changes were made to bring back the original throttle response we had before we swapped the exhaust. I am not complaining about this sled at all, I love this engine and sled, best thing on snow in my opinion.

Well this morning i did some CO Testing and it wasn't worth my time i went as low as -15 and as high as 10 around -8 to -5 was the best but like one of the other guys said i'd let off in the mid range and hit the thorottle and it would really hesitate bad, so i put my stock can back on and wow i forgot what i had in this sled this thing moves. Any way i did some tests with the hauck husher on in about 1000 feet i was hitting 92 mph, with my stock can same conditions and i was seeing 94-96 mph. So this made me mad i was ready to return my item and i called hauck performance, talked to some dude and told him that this was'nt working out for me, so he hooked me up With The Ice Man Himself PAT HAUCK. Told him everything going on and he said i can tell you your problem right know and i said what he said "it's a Yamaha!" No I'm Totally kidding but the skidoo guys would love to here that. I'm 100% Blue now from polaris, Any way he said whats your rpms i said 8900 he said thats too much for know with the silencer you have 4-6 more hp and you have a diffrent power band and in short i need to add 1.5 grams to my weights so my power band would go down to 8750. How do you do this he said to take a grinder to the tips where the rivits are and grind it off and get the right ones from a yamaha dealership and that he'd work with me just get the rpms down to there and it will come to life. I have yet to try this yet but i will by sunday or monday if you have any questions ask for the iceman for its his name on these products and i'm sure he wants them to put out. Goo d Luck oh and leave those cos alone for now they didnt seem to do anything for where this pipe was sputtering in the mid

I have the Hauck pipe & played with the clutching from 8300-8900 rpm on top end & I call bS on what they told ya. My nytro makes the same top end basically from 8500-8900 rpm...same day same conditions.Actually one of my best days for top end i got was at 8300 rpm but conditions were awesome & I credit it more to that.

Al makes good stuff but if the rpm,s aren,t quite 100% I am allway up there on biz to dial it in for you. I have dialed in a few aftermarket clutching systems from other aftermarket retail guys that were a little "off"!
