Just wondering how accurate these gas gages are? I know some other brands have terrible accuracy.
Thanks JP

They are pretty accurate. Although Yamaha has the gas light go on with about 2 or so gallons of gas left, so you have enough gas left to travel a fair distance to get to a gas station.

I have ran about 20 miles on my machine with the gas light on and she didnt even sputter. I dont recall how much gas was left in when I filled up, but I wouldnt advise going much further than that if you dont have to!

Mine was dead on, with almost 30 miles left when the light came on.

if theres not enough gas would the pump not make any sound or even turn over?

The gage seems to vary while riding because of the sloshing of gas but are extremely accurate while letting sit for a bit.

there are 10 lines each i have figured to rep a half galon and then the light comes one with 2 galons left.
