Maybe the sending unit has failed. Here are the resistance specs on the fuel sending unit.
Might want to check the connector to ensure a good connection, first. Then measure using an ohm meter. Should be black and green wires. Measure right at the connector closest to the fuel sending unit. The connector should be close to the fuel tank.
Fuel sender resistance
Out of specification = Replace.
Fuel sender resistance (full): 4 - 10 ohms at 20C (68F)
Fuel sender resistance (empty): 90 - 100 ohms at 20C (68F)

im not sure if that is the case, it seems to be perfectly opposite.... it seems like the wires got switched, but i havent touched a thing. the only thing that has happend was before i went on the first trail ride of the year (this weekend) someone left the key on and the battery was dead when i went to change the oil but i used a good batery charger designed for smaller baterys and everything works and it runs fine except for the fue leavel.

Check my previous post. I put in the Fuel Sending unit testing specs. Also you might want to check the connector at the back of the gage pod.

i pulled the sending unit out today, moved it manually while the sled was running and put it back in the way it was working so the guage woked correctly and it works fine now haha
