Average for my 2014 with only a clutch kit is 13mpg. Was expecting more. Not hard riding.

Quite often a clutch kit will hurt fuel mileage especially on a four stroke.

Got 14.5 - 15 mpg first time ever after 1200 miles and removing clutch kit I'm quite happy with that. That's not driving slow either.

Last time out (Mar 6): 102 miles and 6.2 gallons = 16.5 mpg! Started at -5F and finished at +15F, trails were groomed; the snow was set up and hard, just about ideal conditions. This is with a completely stock 2014 LTX with 900 +/- miles on the ticker. On a long stretch of greatness, 95 mph was displayed with a max of 9170 RPM.
Performance keeps getting better as it gets miles on it, both mpg and mph. I WAS considering some normal aspiration mods, but don't actually think I need anything and I am enjoying the mpg numbers. I suppose the 16.5 mpg will be as consistent as the snow conditions (that is to say, variable each time).

What is AVERAGE.
Average has way too many variables, from conditions your riding in, (smooth groomed trail to two feet of fresh power) to who your riding with, (new timid riders to experienced hard riders) to your driving habits, do you squash the throttle till your up to speed and back off or do you throttle up to speed.
My Nytro ran a high of 209 Klm's on 28.8 litres = 20.5 MPG IMP riding with a group of 8 on smooth groomed to a low of 69 Klm's on 27.7 litres = 7.1 MPG IMP riding cut lines in the bush in 3 ft. of powder.

I have had a best of 17 and a worst of 13
Not all clutch kits get bad fuel mileage.
I would have to say the average for all Vipers is 14-15

Now that I have had the sled for some time and as 2500km.
After I had about 1600km (1000 miles) I have been getting about 18 to 18.5 mpg imp ( 15 to 15.4 us ).
Pleased with this as the sled is the harvest of all the viper models at 598lb dry compare to the XTX 141 of 505lb dry.
The STX DX 146 as a one peace tunnel with steel supports, extra fuel tank.
Nice the extra fuel (15.5 liters) Did 330km (206 miles ) and gas light never even came on.

I have 3500 miles on my 2015 LTX Dx 100 percent stock
13-17 depending on conditions
I feel that conditions dictate fuel consumption much more than speed on this particular machine.
My 2 cents
