Fuel Mileage

Just so I'm clear. You guys that are getting good U.S. mpg are getting like 65-70 miles and your gas gauge is only on half? At 50 miles my gauge reads half. And yes I burp the tank and all that stuff.

Two things to consider if you are getting less than stellar mileage. One in our group was getting poor mileage and we found that he had a vent hose kinked about 3/4 closed and it caused it to over fuel. Put a new hose in and mileage was back in the normal range. I h ave my daltons to pull rpms down in the middle a little more and run 55-5800 when running open trails with my quick spool setup. I also have additional wheels in suspension along with large wheel 4 wheel kit. Mine rolls like butter.

Mine is a cat so obviously clutching is different but i can't see that it would make the gap between my 10/11 and most people's 14+. I could see high rpm has some effect on it but not the large gap I am seeing.

last 2 rides I am averaging 18mpg (can) on groomed trails with some snow drifts.. last year I was averaging 16mpg. Mileage seems to have improved with the 2019 clutch update.

I could not ever bring myself to put 87 in my sled, or in any of my toys for that matter :O I will risk running out of fuel getting to the next gas station instead of putting 87 lol
X2

Last ride I went on I pulled up to the pumps and my low fuel light came on. I put in 35.5 litres with a burped tank and my trip meter read 135 miles since the last fill.

Wish tuners would develop a eco tune with close to stock hp levels for those long trail rides where gas stations are far and few in between. It would be nice to have in a tune bundle. Not sure if it could be done without limiting boost however.

large wheel kit?

Burp it after initial fill up and you can put another 1/2 - 3/4 gallon more in it.
Emptied my gas tank so I could put some fresh in at the beginning of this season. Was still able to run it so that I could load it in my trailer. Took 9.8 US gallons.

If I ride aggressive, 13sh. If the trails are hard and fast and I stay out of the throttle, 15-16.

Nowhere near the Nytro mpg, but then again, the Nytro is nowhere near a Winder mph, stock for stock!!

As some on here have stated. Conditions and how much throttle you use!
My neighbor who is new to the sport, asked me if I would show him some bigger trails then what we have locally. So I loaded him and his newer AC7000 and we trailered 45 minutes away to some bigger then local trails.
Being new to the sport his speed is between 25 and 45 mph. I was soooo bored and heard noises from my sled that I have never heard, because we were almost crawling. Do not think I have ever gone that slow on a ride, but I also have never gotten such good gas mileage. Totally surprised at 17.8 mpg !! Max Spool 16 with 3 bar and BOV, and been running a 22 top gear since the beginning of last season.

Today's ride was with my usual riding bud, saw over 120 on speedo a couple of times, and got 126 speedo on the groomed trail across Pond. My buddy saw 128 on his with his newly installed 1” track. I am sure once I fill up after this ride I shall be back to my normal mpg.

Oh, also put a new belt on today. Old one had 1400 on it and I knew we would be pushing the speed today, so why take a chance.

60mph/6000rpm/@ 5-6psi
Perfect condtions can maybe get over 125miles
I thought gears would improve mileage but not.

I have rode a couple of rides at that 25-45 speed with my 14 year old daughter . These sleds and their clutches are so noisy at those speeds you would swear something is wrong!
