Hi, I just had a question for the guys that have the Fuel programmer. I currantly ride an 09 XTX and I put the ulmer stage 3 kit with the k&N's,Excell header, plugs and clutch kit. I just order the fuel programmer and was curious on what type of gains i will see and how it effects fuel miliage etc. Any information what be appreciated. I also have an Ultra Q muffler which Allen from Ulmer told me that was the closest HP ratings to the full Excell. Thanks, Scott

I ran the exact same setup with the Ultra Q muffler and was very happy. Can't quantify the gains with PC3 as I installed them all together.

Does it stall or backfire w/o the PC3?

Not sure about stalling but you may get popping of hesitations. When I added an exhaust to my 08 RTX I had all kinds of popping and hesitations, I added a fuel controller ( RB3 ) with an okj map in it and some of it went away. Put it on the dyno and did a proper map for all the mods and no more popping, hesitation, farts or anything...sled is much happier now...it also freed up 2 hp as a bonus.
Proper mapping for your mods may not yield a " seat of the pants " gain, but your engine will run smoother and better.

The Nytro motor does have the popping noise stock, it's just the nature of the beast with its firing order and how it's set up. There have been a few that have noticed it with the stock exhaust, but since it's so quiet, it hides most of it.
