I recently had a code 43 appear on my display. After checking all relays and fuses, I sent the sled to the dealer for the starter replacement since the backordered starters finally arrived.

It appears as though the fuel pump is dead. Has anyone else experienced this problem as of yet? The dealer is still waiting to hear back from Yamaha on this issue before replacing the fuel pump.

Fuel pump relay, similar to the relay problem on the trouble free RX-1's and Apex's. And yes, I had this problem..........Try kicking the sled, helps jiggle the relay, sled usually starts.
Nice fix eh?

Great another fault code. At least there is a possible "kick it" fix if we're out on the trail and it happens. Kinda good info. :o|

The sled is still at the dealer.....4 days now....and after consulting with Yamha Canada, they are running additional diagnostic tests and have yet to pinpoint the problem. I will let you all know what the final diagnosis is when it is available. I guess sledding is out for this weekend again! :(

Just got a call back from the dealer. The problem appeared to be a bad ground connection in the wiring harness. Apparently the ground connection melted in the wiring harness.

Something to look out for if you ever see Code 43 flash in your POD.

Cheers!

same thing happened to me today, no power to fuel pump took the sde panel off and checked wiress turned it over started right up

No I only had power to the POD. The sled would not turn over. There was no power to the starter or fuel pump. It is was a bad ground. The dealer suspected that the wire melted because the repaired starter still draws a lot of current. With the new starter on, the sled turns over much quicker. Here's hoping that's the end of my problems.
