I have a CPR front mount with the electric fuel pump powered off the ignition switch. I know this has been discussed but I can't find it. Well, I thought I would never roll my sled or lay it down on it's side but......last weekend drag racing in the grass I launched, first time on high boost) and wheelied and tried to ride this wheelie full throttle, (IT WAS SOOOO MUCH FUN), I hate to lose! Well, I lost it (ran out of talent I guess). She leaned , the track grabbed and she stalled and of course since the sled ended this journey on her side the fuel was pumped into the intercooler until I turned the key off a very short moment later. Too late, it was too flooded. Can anyone tell me how to power fuel pump so it shuts off when engine quits? And how do I pressurize/prime the thing for cold starts? Thanks for the help.

I tapped my fuel pump into my light circuit (the yellow wire up front by the plugs). So far it has worked well. As far as priming the system....I have never had to do that yet. Even after a month or so it fires right up (which it didn't used to do). Good luck.

PS. make sure you take your plugs out and crank the motor to get out any gas that might've gotten in the cylinders.

Why not use a teather to kill the the engine and fuel pump at the same time ?

Mine is into the blue/white wire on the underside of the fuse box. Only on when the engine is running.

I did it this way
Power the fuel pump off the big blue wire on the load control relay
Second power wire with a Diode from the starter wire so there is pressure when cranking
If it's flooded I just unplug the butt connector of the wire from the starter and crank er
