anyone have problems with the msd fuel pumps when used in line with the stock pump? It appears that when i get low on fuel (1 bar on gauge) it starts to cavitate the fuel and goes real lean under WOT. Was thinking of going to an aeromotive or walbro pump. Any thoughts?

Not trying to be an smartass here, but do you really think changing pump will help your low on fuel problem?
I would guess that your pickup in the tank maybe isn't in the right place.
I noticed when i still had the stock pump that the inline would sound as it cavitated, and it problably did, not only when i was low on fuel, but when i removed stock fuelpump it dissapeared, until it has problem to reach the fuel.

any thoughts are appreciated! it has been my experience that certain pump designs tend to churn fuel rather than pump it causing an aeration problem and on any high performance motor with extream fuel demands can be a serious problem! maybe the stock pump cannot keep up with the demands of the msd pump? is eliminating the stock pump the answer????

With my findings and what i read here it seem's so, and you get loss of an amp stealer.
I am certain that the MSD is as efficient as Walbro, but double check that, mine is an Walbro 255, good for ~500hp.

Throw out the stock pump, let it flow freely to the MSD and problem should go away. Also, install the fuelpump lower that the lowes part of the tank, thus the pump is fed with the help of gravity siphoning the fuel from the gas tank.
