i think my fuel pump #*$&@ the bed yesterday. i can hear the relay, but cant hear the pump charge the rail. had to be towed out of the woods by buds f7, he wanted a pic with the tow strap hooked up but thought better of trying to snap one in the mood i was in. anyone else have a fuel pump or pressure problem?

I had the same thing happen to my 416 mile ATTAK.....I rode 2 days, 85 miles, and 180 miles, in 15-25 degree temps with decent snow conditions, no problems at all with the sled, love the way it rides, handles, etc....anyhow, I put it in the trailer that night, then go to start it the next morning, and didnt hear the fuel pump run, only a "click" like the relay turning on, but no pump humming sound....I figured it was due to the fact that the temps dropped to -14 that night, and maybe I had some bad fuel, but no....took it to the dealer, all fuses OK, so he reflashes the computer, and turns the key on, and the fuel pump runs, then turns it to start, and she fires right up....weird....I guess I better read up on how to do it if it happens again....

Would like to know how to reflash the computer in case this
happens to me ? Any special tools needed ?

dealer called last night, sled is done. he says the fuse for the pump was blown. says its down by the battery and took his tech 5 hours to figure it out with yammies help. why in the hell would they put a fuse where you cant get at it? isnt the idea to be able to change it in an emergency? anyways, i asked him why it blew cause its sure to blow again (excessive draw, short) and he said yammie told him it was because I use the switchblade key and it must have gotten bumped to the start position. we will see how it goes, but if it makes it to the next oil change i will relocate that fuse holder so i can get at it without taking the air box off. :D
