2012 MCX Turbo Apex
Finally had a chance to put some mile's on with the MCX 200 kit on my 12 Apex.
Got 15 MPG on a couple fill's and even hit 17 on one fill that I stayed out of boost most of the time on.
Came across a small speed run going on and asked the guy at the starting line what top speed was, he said 92MPH but there is a 30MPH head wind!
I paid my $15 for three run's, made one pass at 110 MPH, stoped back after trail riding and picked up one trophy for wining 1,000 mod class that they put me in and one trophy for top speed of the day! LOL
Had no problem's, nothing to fix, clean up and it's ready to ride again!

Congrats With Your New boost addiction and the thropies, great work :-)

What was the distance?
1,000' with a 30mph + head wind. I would expect maybe another 4 MPH with out the wind?
I'am at 5.5 LB boost.

Where did you buy you mcx turbo from? I am here in Wisconsin looking for a place that sells them with good support if there would be any problems.

I bought it used from a member in here. Ulmer racing I believe sells them and has as good of support as you will find. Allan helped me with many question's on my install as well as some tuning and a couple small parts that I was missing.

I would rather buy one locally I have a friend who had a ulmer set up on his nytro from Ulmer and is was nothing but a disaster. I am not bashing Ulmer only speaking of what I know. I would feel more comfortable if there was someone closer. I see there is some MCX dealers here in Wisconsin but don't know if they are any good with support if there were any problems later. I worry about tuning issues more than anything.

All I can tell u is good luck finding better service than Ulmer! I have tryed many in the 35 + years of buying performance pats. No idea what the story is with your buds sled but there probably is one. Boost can have its challenges no mater what kit or who is tuning it.

Bump to the 290 if you like the 200 , you will say wow ! It will run as well , only run what you want for boost , I usually run 7 or 8 , a great ride , great on fuel and super fast ! Then when you want that extra rush turn the boost up to 14 lbs , hold on. Also Ulmer Racing always has been and is awesome !!! Over 14500 km on mine trouble free !

theres no doubt he is a difficult person to reach at times so if you are in a hurry then wrong person.

He is Buisy with other things during the off season but have not had a problem otherwise. Just keep trying!
