FX Nytro MTX price check

Saw them for around $9800 here in Spokane.
Westside it having a big snowmobile clearance. There number is 747-1862.
I will be heading up north today and will check with them.

J.

PS. I will try to give you a call tonight.

If your boss told you he found someone willing to drive 2 to 3 hours to work for 5% less than he pays you and said you need to take a pay cut what would you say to him...........

I bet you dealer told you the same thing!

Nytro MTX $9500, 3 yr warr, no tax

I've got a brand new (0 miles) Nytro MTX. Blue. Reverse. 3 year Yam warranty which is $650 option. Probably no sales tax due as it would be a purchase from private party.
Trouble is that I'm in MN. Know anyone coming this way?
Could get it to Laramie, WY (Snowies) this weekend.
Might be able to get it to Togwotee Pass, WY (just south of Yellowstone Park) in near future???

Bob in MN
Also have Nytro MTX Anniv model which will be available in mid Feb.
It will have minimal miles and also has 3 year warranty.

So are you saying no matter the price just pay what your local dealer wants? Have you never ordered anything from the internet? Have you never drove accross town to a diferrent store because their prices are better? Have you never tried to save money? :o|

Saving $ is great. But what if your local dealer closed his doors tomarrow and you had to drive 2-3 hrs to get a belt, hyfax, oil etc. Whats that going to cost in the long run. you could stock up on those things but thats what your dealer is there for.

As far as going to another town to save $ yes if it is worth it. $150 in fuel & 6 hours of my time to save how much $100, 200 not worth it if my dealer isnt going to be there to support me.

Now if he is trying to bend you over thats another story. you never said how much he was charging or how much you thought is was worth to drive 2-3 hours for.

So you are missing a piece of the puzzle yet questioning the OP's motives. It is a price check thread to see if he is being offered a fair price. He also states that he would be willing to travel a few hours (presumably for the right deal). Still not seeing the problem with this. If you want to buy from your dealer go for it. If others don't that is up to them.

My dealer has offered me a price of $9100 for the blue and $9300 for the 40th, and that is without me even trying to negotiate. And unfortunately for minnesota Bob, while a person doesn't pay sales tax at the transfer of the title, you are still obligated to pay what is called "use tax" to the state, OR you can hope you just never get audited 'cause that will be a very big red flag. I can see it now..."What else are you hiding?!?!" But if you could sell it to a state with no sales tax, that might work....hmmmmm...I'm moving to Montana!

sale of sled

biodude,
check your PMs.
I have confirmed with several state tax offices, MN, Iowa, CO, WY, etc
that no sales tax is due on sale of sled from private party. New and used sled sales from a dealer do require sales tax.
Sales tax has already been paid once on these sleds so no further sales tax is required, just trail reg in whatever state it will be used (very minimal $$).
So, buyer would save $600 plus vs buying from a dealer and get the 3 year warranty which would be $650 from dealer.
Hope this clarifies.
Thanks

Hey Mnbob,
You're right. No sales tax is paid. It's called "Use Tax", and it does need to be paid when you do your taxes at the end of the year. My wife does the books for a large corporation and she is currently undergoing a sales tax audit by the State of MN, who have confirmed that this is the case. It is one of those things that supposedly is up for interpretation, but when the state audits you, you guessed it, the state interprets it that you owe them money, even when the letter of the law may say you would not, so you lose. Each person is allowed a certain amount of purchases tax free (something like $750 but don't quote me on that) but once that threshold is reached a person is suppsed to start paying taxes. That's why if a person made a lot of E Bay purchases and never paid tax on them and then got audited, they're screwed. I'm not defending the state and I'm not saying it's right, plus I hope you sell your machine, but I'm just laying it out there to be seen. I have never been a fan of paying sales tax on used cars so the state can double, triple, quadruple, etc. tax a used car, but they don't listen to me!

Silver Streak, Outlaw Motorsports in Enterprise Oregon has the blue with reverse for $9,565 and the 40th anniversary model for $9,740.

Cooke City Yamaha has the Blue with reverse for $9,299 and the 40th anniversary model for $9,499.

I wonder if Outlaw will match Cooke City Yamaha's price for you?

Good Luck

I'd tell 'em......See ya in court! HAHAHAHAHA!!!

In WA, the new owner would pay the 8% plus sales tax when they registered it in WA. Everytime a vehicle gets sold, tax is paid. If you moved here from NH (Which I did), the stat expects you to pay tax on everything that you want to register, unless you can proove you paid tax to someone already. They even want it on my vintage sled collection.

On another note, I am in West Yellowstone untill Sunday, and would be willing to through a FX Nytro MTX in the back of my truck and drive it to Spokane, WA. You could pick it up there. So if MinnBob could get it to West Yellowstone by 3 pm Sunday, I would have it in Spokane, WA or parts in between by Monday. Let me know if I can help.
