WOW! Some of you might enjoy this...

I have had my FX Nytro (standard) out for its deepest of deep powder rides yet this winter. The sled has been awesome the entire winter whether riding fairly smooth trails, extremely beat up/big bump trails or boondocking through powder.

Today we rode at Petersville here in Alaska which has tons of swamps to boondock. I'm guessing there is a base of 2-3 feet and 3-4 feet of DEEP powder on top of the base.

The sled is stock with the exception of Slydog Powderhound skis and a skid plate. The stock track is obviously 15"x121"x1.25".

I could boondock the sled through the deepest spots faily easy, although I had to keep up decent momentum. I did get it stuck twice when I was close to the trees where the snow was very loose and I didn't get on the trottle enough.

Here's what some people might look at as the catch; I am only 140 pounds.

I was EXTREMELY impressed with this sled in the deep powder! We ride everything from rivers to mountains to swamps to trails and lakes here and I love how this sled performs!

The only other mod I want to make in the future (most likely for next winter) is that I want to put a 1.75" lugged track under it, still keeping it a 121" short-track though.

Have Fun,
Will

I noticed the deep, non tapered tunnel tends to hang up when riding powder. I love the design for trails but not so much for deep snow. This past weekend I could really feel the need for a deeper lug track when play riding.

Yeah, I agree that a deeper lug will be very helpful and I'm going to act on that. But, I still was impressed today.

I was impressed enough that I think this was my first ever post where I wasn't asking advice lol.

Felt the same way when I was out in the deep. The boards arent that bad in the powder... Better then I thought they would..
