I would rather run it through enough brush to change the color than spend 1500 on cosmetics. it is what it is, thats why they make new models every year

Bluerooster, do you have any closeup pics of that setup? I'd like to see what shape you cut the innner shield and how you mounted everything up. It would be interesting to make it height adjustable, don't ya think? Slide it up on cold days, slide it down for warmer ones.

Grimm, I just cut off the bottom 6" of the old shield and mounted it with some stainless fastners. I used some rubber edge material on the raw cut portion so it wouldnt eat into my mid shield. I havent got alot of miles on this setup but so far so good. As far as the adjustable idea, I had a Snowtec on my Warrior that did that and I liked it. The two shields have slightly different profiles (plus the stock one has quite a flip up) and I dont have a engineer's degree to figure how to do it.... that would be the ultimate though.

Blu2u2 Where did you get the skid plate? Is that a one peice? I just put on a skinz float plate and it is terrible. Traps a 100 lbs of snow instantly.

It is OEM and I am very happy with it. No snow build-up and very sturdy! Last night I ran over a frozen clump of ice/dirt and it held up well. Only a small grove in the plate from the hard object.
The A-arm covers are also OEM but I had to paint them to match the white skid plate.

Don't think the tall windshield is too bad looking (it certainly isn't great though), but I have one cause warmth is more important than how my sled looks, since I can't see it while I'm on it anyway who cares? Also, can fit the large windshield bag on there which holds a lot of crap.

What extension kit r u using? I like the tunnel extension u have. Here is the same shield with sides painted white:
It looks like new windshield options at the dealer a very limited (in Canada at least). Where would be a good place to find a mid height windshield with side deflectors? I am going to look around locally to see if I can find anything used.
Hooray!

Setup on my sled just purchased last March, tall blue flame with black deflectors, I wear full leathers, never have been cold but could see wind hitting you without the deflectors or with the low windshield. Blacked things out off season with black PowerMadds and powder coated a-arms and spindles black with total rebuild.
