anyone concerned about the Tank shroud getting scratched up with the new rider forward seating position?

I'm thinking about putting a street bike Tank pad on mine. Any thoughts

paint protection

I posted the following in the thread (currently on page 2) titled "Fuel tank protection"

Seen an ad in Snowgoer magazine of a website for Skinz Protective Gear, who makes knee pads which attach on the sides of the fuel tank (cover) of the Apex as well as many other sleds.

They attach by velcro and are washable.

This may be of interest to some.

Website address is: www.skinzprotectivegear.com

Once there, click on Snow Gear.

They e-mailed me pics of the pads on an Apex & RX1 but I couldn't copy them to here.

I am thinking of going with the 3M clear paint protection film personally at this time.

snowATTAKer I will sell you a Apex tank bag, still in tha package. I decided I don't need it.

I just ordered a rubber tank protector that you can cut to size-9.99 at the following link: http://www.lockitt.com/AccessoriesPaintPro.htm

You only have about 2.5 inches between the seat and bend in tank near gas cap. That sticker was a pain in the a*&^&^s to get off-lots of small scratches to cover, you have to look hard, but they're there.

Tank pad

Looks effective Stormchaser.

I'm looking into something for protecting the sides of the shroud as well, as the contact of the paint and knees will no doubt cause some paint wear.
