Has anyone else tried this belt It appears that the XS825 belts have REALLY jumped in price but the Gates Redline 40R4313 seems close to the same price.

I ran one last season, it performed well. I ran mostly 240 SS tune with some 270 runs mixed in. Put on just shy of 2500 miles, when I took it off a month or so ago it looked great but didn't measure the wear to see if it goes back on to start this next season.Has anyone else tried this belt It appears that the XS825 belts have REALLY jumped in price but the Gates Redline 40R4313 seems close to the same price.

I've run them and they have a little more grip than the ultimax and turn 100 rpm less.

I ran them last season for 3400 miles. They held up to my special brand of stupidity super well. That being said, because I am so hard on the sled I change the belt at 1500 miles regardless of wear.

Since I got my SW I put less then 20 miles on the 8JP belt then I set it up with an 8DN belt. The 8DN worked flawlessly for me for 3 seasons but it is a few mph slower on top end so this year I decided to try something different and installed and adjusted my clutching for the Gates Redline belt.
I have put a whole season on the Red Line and I am very happy with it and will continue to use it.
my observations:
-very little belt dust[like the 8DN]
-full throttle rpm dropped 100-200 rpm
-virtually no wear
-belt grip is good with Dalton B/O at 6/2
-belt temp on my Razor gage is typically lower then the 8DN after long runs
-clutch sheave surfaces look good.

Update I have on the redline:
It is by far the best belt I have ever used.
I put 2400 miles on ONE belt this year. Most of that 2400 miles was in a 300HP tune and last weekend with 2300 miles on the belt I decided to try blowing it. On a lake holding it to the handle bars until knock lights lit up, belt didn't blow doing 3 back to back 120mph 1mile + pulls. This is on a belt with 2300 miles too!!!!

So I ran the same redline belt for it's second season, it has close to 5,000 miles on it. It will now be a spare as I'm sure it is still in good shape.

I am on my second season and lots of hard pulls back to back. Lots of drag racing friends. I used to be delicate and always worried about blowing the other belts. Now I ride it like I want to ride it and don’t worry about my Redline.
