Looking to get some gauges for my sled and have read some previous forms that are decently dated so looking for new information. I'm torn between AEM and innovate for AFR. What's everyone's experiences? And how do they hold up to the elements. Any freezing causing the gauge to be sluggish or stop working?
I've run both gauges in the past and both are good working reliable gauges. The only thing I can say to help make your decision is I found the AEM digital gauge easier to read in the sunlight than the innovate. I run them on my jetskis as well and I find the innovates tough to read in direct sunlight as they are a light orange display vs the AEM darker red display. The innovates also use a shallower bezel vs the AEM so that may help the AEM's to be easier to read on bright days. The innovates do have a larger display making it a little easier to read at speed on uneven terrain but not by much. Both gauges have been very good in the water and have been proven to be waterproof. I have run both on the water for several years with no issues, no condensation issues whatsoever and both do well in the cold. I have had great luck with both brands so pick what looks good to you.
