Please bare with me as I am not overly familiar with the modifcations that are available for the RX 1. On that note, here is my question.
I have been talking with a Rx1 owner and he spoke of a power up kit offered by Yamaha for his sled. What exactly does this kit include?

Not a clue about a Power UP Kit. There are a lot possibilities for mods, air kit, clutches, exhaust, turbo, suspension. Just do a search for each mod and have reading.

Nothing available from Yamaha as far as a power up kit that I'm aware of. There was a clutch up grade for the 03/RX1's, that the 04/Warrior got. I could be wrong though so I check, and get back to you on that one.

Bluebyyou, kit looks and sounds great.
Unfortunately I do not own a Yamaha, I have started up a performance company and am trying to learn about all the aftermarket goodies for the Rx1.
I was told by a RX 1 owner that he could get a power up kit directly from Yamaha, at least thats what his dealer told him.
I guess there was some mis communication.
Anyways, thanks for the warm welcome. I originally joined this site back in 02 when I had a viper on order.

Yamaha has some modified cam shafts available for the R1 motorcycle. You have to check out sites with info on tuning the R1.
Maxximum Performance shows a RX-1 Power up Kit on their web page. Includes exhaust system, TPI intake valves, trail clutch kit. Possibly the dealer you mentioned thought it came from Yamaha. Price is $829, Matts kits are proven to perform as reported on this forum.
