Does the gear reduction start to make noise at a certain mileage? My brother in-law just bought an 04 Warrior and at idle it rattles like crazy.
We thought some of it was coming from the clutch so we installed a new clutch that only has 200 miles on it. This made it a little quieter but not much. Can you fix this?

Get the clutch rattling fix for the Vector. New bussings that are bigger for the primary. This will stop your rattling.

That wont stop the gear reduction rattle. Most of the noise comes from the reduction gear NOT the clutch itself. Best bet is to sync the carbs to smooth out the idle, then turn the idle up to about 1800 rpm. That should take most of the noise out. They all do it.

The noise " from a certain millage " that he is reffering to, is from the clutch bushings. Gear reduction noise is fairlly consistant. Before I did mine I thought that it was the gear reduction unit as well. When I changed the bushings on the primary you would not belive the difference it made.

It is not the clutch. Like I said I tried a new one with only 200 miles on it and it is almost the same. I guess sinking the carbs may help.
