I'm currently running an Outlaw Motorsports clutch set up, they ride in 5000' to 6000' and I rarely ever go over 4000'. Currently I have a 19 tooth small gear and stock big gear with reverse. I also run there custom ground Hauck weights ( according to Dustin ) and a Shockwave Helix which works out to about 94 mph on the "dream meter" on flat hard ground....tops! It runs great and is real snappy but with the soft Maverick track the paddles bend in anything other then dry powder and it doesn't hook real well. I'd like a bit more top end but don't wanna loose all my bottom end grunt. I'm considering going back to a 20 tooth small gear. According to Randy at Outlaw the primary weights will be fine and won't need the weight changed but a bit of adjusting the shockwave will be needed. Randy and Dustin are excellent stand up guys so I believe everything they have to say but would like some input from others running stock gearing or other combinations. I'm going to run the stock track and drivers until spring when they'll be worn out and will be replaced with Avid drivers and the Challenger Extreme track to help with hook up. All input appreciated!

Need way more info like what are wot rpms at every elevation plus clutch temps plus what is your present rpm,s. need way more info

Turk , thx for the reply

I have no idea what my clutch temps are but they never get very hot no matter how deep or hard I ride it, you can always touch them with bare hands. It currently runs at 10900 WOT at 500 ft. elevation with an engagement RPM of 5000 RPMS and 10300 RPMSat 4000' but that's easily fixed by adjusting out a quarter turn on the Shockwave helix and it's back to 10900 at the 4000' elevation. It runs fine now, if the RPMS do drop a bit then I turn the shockwave and they come right back, my concern is loosing that snap off the bottom end by going back to a 20 verse's a 19 tooth small gear some guys are even running a 21 tooth small gear to increase track speed in powder. ( NA of course )
