Hi guys, bought my first sled (08 Apex LTX with studs) and i have a question about steering. Driving through groomed trails, I found that the sled didn't want to turn and found myself needing to tap the brakes often to have weight transfer on the skis to make the sled turn. Turning in deep snow is a breeze, sled turns great. I can't pull a u turn whatsoever, with the skis turned all the way, I probably need a 20 foot radius to turn this thing, it just wants to go straight. Is this normal? It's my first sled so I don't know what to expect.

lots of threads on this on this forum.
... for me (RS Venture) was to drop all pre-load on ALL springs to essentially "0" and then tweak from there (if / as needed)

I have dropped the preload in the front but I don't like how it feels now it minimal difference in steering was observed. I'm just wondering if there's something wrong with the sled or if this is how these are

Skis and carbides in good shape?
Well duallies are your first issue. Snowtrackers fix a few issues these sleds have. They take care of the darting, the heavy steering and the push of the factory skis.
Mtn or VK Pro skis also work well on these sleds. These skis have a deeper keel which aid in holding the corner as well as flotation.
