Is it just me or i get the feeling that with all the people worried about the quality and fit and finish of the new viper, that it might actually help sales of genuine yamaha sleds, everybody wanted lighter and different, now that its here, everybody complains about fit and finish and compare it to how perfect the current sleds are, makes me appreciate the great products yamaha build

1 year from now we will know. I guarantee there are lots of guys chomping at the bit to buy a Viper but want to wait to see what happens with year 1. I snow checked an Apex GT and it had minor issues IMO but I've followed the HCS Procross forum for quite a while and you have to be very lucky or true green to stick around after their issues. Funny thing is some guys bought the 2013s after following all the problems. The Viper is very appealing to me. Id like jump off trail more and bang around. I want one but I can't imagine not having the long legs the Apex has. Nor do I want my limited opportunities to ride ruined by being the test pilot. Yamaha may have purposely delayed the release hedging their bets that the weaknesses would surface in hopes they could address them. I'm pretty lukewarm to my interpretation of the reviews on whole which to me indicate that the Protos are less refined than I would guess.
100% Yamaha

True, but I doubt anyone expected #4 in fit and finish quality to be the place it came from....we wanted genuine yamaha.

I have been completely underwhelmed with my nytro other than the motor and contemplated my next sled a cat but for some reason my loyalty sickness is kicking in and i find no interest in the viper or a cat anymore. If they wany my money in the future they better figure out how to build their own chassis go above and beyond what other sled makers are doing. Sorry i have been drinking and am speaking from the heart.
