Gettin a deal or getting screwed?.... Need help here..

they gave me a great trade offer on my two sleds... so incredibly tempting... Just a 5 hour drive each way to pick it up though...

Rock River Powersports do give great deals. They are located 8 miles from me and always beat everyone's price. P
retty good guys to deal with.

I'm about to pull the trigger with the dealer in WI. The owner himself called me, and we talked a while... He's going to get both my 2003 Viper ER's (one with 1,080 miles, and the other 136" has 1,240 miles). I'm also throwing in some extras like cover, etc.

In return, I get a :::
2007 Yamaha Attak GT
4 yr ext warranty
108 Woody's 1.325 gold digger studs Installed
108 Alum backer plates
6" woody's doolies wear bars.

The difference is just around $2,375.. what a deal..

my local dealer wanted $3,943 difference plus $577 for warranty, and $433 for studs.... (name witheld) (I'm not even going to give them the chance to match either)

What does everyone think? I'm going to drive up there on Saturday to pick it up... 6 hrs one way, so I am hoping to drive a few more hours to find some snow for a day or two to just break in the sled a little...

Thanks for everyone's help..

Sound s like an ok deal to me, plus you're getting what you want,You'll love the upgrade in sleds

That's a sweet deal outside of the driving part, so you could add another couple of bucks for gas. That's still as good of deal as you are going to find anyplace.

How did you make out? I'm in the same boat..

Someone told me if you don't have the loan paid for in 08 they'll hit you with all the back interest then some.

I was hopeing on finding something as they're isn't any snow here again this year and I might be able to get into 2 nice sleds. They don't want trades though as there is so many used one's out there I think.

I ended up selling one of my snowmobiles on Friday, and then trading my other one in on Saturday on my way to Michigan at a dealer in Wisconsin. So after driving 6 hours to the dealer, I decided to head to Michigan to snowmobile for a day or two with my new sled. I rode on New Years eve for about 100 miles.

Then I loaded the sled up and headed to the north woods of Wisconsin and went to a lodge there to spend new years eve. That night we got about 5 inches of snow, making great riding Monday. I stayed there again Monday night, and rode a little yesterday, and drove home straight thru. I ended up getting a speeding ticket in Wisconsin though that will cost me $261.40. He clocked me at 92, but only wrote me down for 85 in a 65. Oh well. stuff happens.

All in all, I got to put on about 200 miles to start the break in and get use to the power and positioning on the new Attak GT. That thing is just amazing. I just smile from ear to ear when I'm on that thing...

Woody,
Man you got a great deal and made a fun adventure out of the whole trip.
That is the way to do things my brother.

You really need to get in with the Saint Louis crowd, guys like BLUEDOG, ecopter, DaveLange, BlownApex etc.
All great guys everyone of them.!

So you are loving these 4 strokes like the rest of us!! Welcome aboard!

Hi Tork,

I've known ecopter and Jim Fritch for a few years, and just met Dave and some others from St. Louis. There are a handful around here, plus another group of about 20 sledders from Nashville, IL I know. I ran into Dave, Ron, Jimmy and Mike in Greenland where they have a house. We had a good time Sunday til it rained. I plan on headding up there soon again after the 20th I think. Later guys, hope to see you all soon.

Nice looking sled you got there ;) Pretty impressive mileage for a troll  :4STroke: :yam: :rocks:

Maybe I should bring mine out to his place from here in NH as we don't have any snow this year so far. So nothing is moving. I couldn't give mine away.

I would do it if it was a deal....Ha..no kiddiing.
