getting a list togather of what todo this spring on the sled

Check your donuts first. If they are bad you can replace 'em. Depending on how far you want to tear down your sled you can evaluate your donuts a couple of different ways.

It sounds like you are going to be removing your rear suspension for service. When it is out you will have a pretty good view of the donut clamps. You will be able to tell if they have loosened up or spun out of position. In the photo below you can see that one of my clamps had rotated slightly counter clockwise.

Are you guys refering to this when you say upper and lower bearings http://www.ty4stroke.com/viewtopic.php?t=52677

That's what they are talking about, just did my Vector and it is pretty straight forward and easy.

I never bothered cleaning mine out as there was still lots of grease in there and it looked pretty clean as well.

My sled only has 2100 miles on it so I would have been surprised if they were bad and most of the grease was gone.

I found a real small (standard/flat) screwdriver worked better than the dental pick as it was easier to get a hold of the seal lip and pull it off.
This screw driver is about the size one would use to fix their sunglasses or similar.

I was wondering if anyone could tell me which boggie wheels i should go with on my apex and where to get them.

I change mine to the stock spoke wheels with replaceable bearings. Easy change.

which ones are those you have a part number and where do you get them from your dealer. how long have they been lasting for you.

You can go to Yamaha web site and go under accessory's. They will have the wheels there. They are about $25.00. Much cheaper than the stock ones and these are the types that are on the new sleds. I would think they would last as long as the originals but on these you can replace the bearing.

so you are saying this one Spoked Style Plastic Idler Bogey Wheel. and are these the bigger 2 wheels in the back Spoked Rear Axel Guide Wheel

thanks

Spoked rear axle wheel SMA-8FP38-02 $30.95 Spoked idler bogie wheel SMA-8FP38-01 $22.95

BK = Black
BL = Blue
RD = Red
SL = Silver
YL = Yellow

Your color goes after the part number. I got 3000 miles on mine with no troubles. If you replace your rear axle wheel's and buy new wheels you can use one of the orginal ones for a 4th wheel kit.

should i flush out the coolant or just drain it and refill it and bleed out the air.

Personal choice imo.

My choice would be to just drain and refill with new but that also depends on the year of your sled and how many miles it has?
