I want to put my sled on the tar this summer for some fun in the offseason. Anyone want to help me out a little bit with their knowledge after beeing there and doing that. I just don't want to tie up a bunch of endless money into stuff that is not necessary.

Right now I have to switch my drive axel to swap out my internal drives. I need a cooling tower, and skis. Anything else that anyone can recommend?

Yup no cheating can be done on a track with a timing system. No one can take a "run" at the start. Can't wait for some good ol fashion honest runs.

I hope to see your Mach there as well. Since it will be my first season out I expect some teething issues.

the mach is my trail sled i run my firecat with art@engine techs billet F9 in it. tar is the best form of racing to me and the most fun. cayuga opens next weekend get her ready the big race at hills is a blast and martin is always great too............

Ordering the skid + track + skis in the next couple days deciding on wahl or Proline right now.

BTW the apex is my trail sled, do you run the sled yourself of use a lightweight to run it? I want to tune mine for my weight.

Jamie, the Wahl is a very nice piece but if you look at the top sleds the Proline is usually in the fast guys stuff. Either way you can't go wrong! Order one for me too while you're at it! LOL!

Here is a pic of my RX with a Wahl skid in it. I added a 4 wheel kit (to the baseline skid) at the kit/skid and it worked great. It's a Ice/grass with a Fox Float. Call Charlie at Wahl for info/specs...

It all depends on how serious you want to get. Just drill the holes where they sugest the mount points. I put the front arm adjusters on the skid/sled and that worked the best for me. Gave me more adjustability.
