Getting sick of RX-1 handling and other things...

Yep after spending hundreds to upgrade my 03 RX and still not being happy with it I went to a Mach Z 1000 SDI handles and rides way better, doesn't have that nice 4 stroke sound though and I do miss that. my problem is carpal tunnel in both arms I just cant man handle the Yammy all day any more. Don't get me wrong I still own plenty of stuff with the tuning forks.

I understand you tried what you could to make it work and it just wasn't enough,"carparal tunnel" can be a bitch I was quite happy with the handiling of my 03 RX1 after set up/ tuning,enough so that it gave my buddy fit's on his 06 Apex.Although I don't find myself getting tired of riding all day even with my limited use of only 1 arm.Maybe it's the re-coil on that "handgun" that's giving you the carpral tunnel"Enjoy the sled!

I put a Pioneer Performance wide front end kit(wider A arms),10" carbides and more ski pressure and the thing handles great.

I just couldn't see spending any more on that sled, And I can't see spending $12,000 for a new one either so I'll just update every so often with a couple years newer sled. But a new one for $12,000 and as soon as you load it in the trailer it drops in value to $10,000 then next season it's $6,000 just doesnt make sense to me anymore.

My buddy has a Mach 1000 SDI, Fast sled, and I do like how it looks, but he has had more problems with that thing than any sled I have owned. Lots of electrical and relays and engine prob's. the list goes on. He has spent more in fixing it than I have in mods, and he still doesnt have that sweet 4 stroke sound =)
Maybe the new power steering would help, But I dont buy new sleds anymore either, lose to much value to quick. IMO

Has anyone thought of installing a M-10? I would agree my 05 is rather difficult at times to turn, but I would imagine that with some adjustments, picks, dual carbides etc. that It would greatly improve.

Love mine, If you dont know how to setup a suspension I could see it being rough, But that goes for any sled made.
I love riding my RX.

when i bought my 05 i hated it felt heavy darted and burnslides.but we have to respect the sled and work with it i had to change runners bigger wheels in rear skid getting they clutching right was a project then the traction issue .the 05 weights transfer good just studs and go but the lower hp sled will always win in lose snow .but now i like my sled
