covering exhaust on a diesel holds the warmed air inside the manifolds and will warm up the valves, making it start easier. never use ether on a engine with glowplugs or indirect injection as the pre cups will crack, or blow out of the head and leave some sexy dents in your block.

Used the mouth trick on the tube and it started in about 15 secs.

Starting fluid = diesel ONLY to potent for small engines use gas or carb cleaner

NO NO NO never use starting fluid in a diesel engine period!
