want a new set for x-mas but cant decide to many choices
my first concearn is regular strap or that new speed strap/quick strap
made by scotts
is scotts good
light sensitve or not, dont really want to mess with lens swapping

I use the Pro-Grip brand with the light sensitive lens. they seem to work great for me, but I have not used them in temps below 5* F so can not honestly say how good they would work colder than that. But I never got cold and they never fogged even when I was boondocking last year and working up quite a sweat. The light sensitive lens worked great when in the thick pines and it was shaded they lightened up and when we got out of the woods and into the sun they darkened up and provided me with the perfect lighting. I have very sensitive eyes to light so I use these googles, and when it gets below 5* I usually just put on my Bombardier modular with the sunscreen. I also had no problems with the goggles at night and I will try wearing them this year in colder temps, as I really like the extra vision that a motorcross helmet and googles give you. Gene

i have used scott goggles for 4 years now and have never had any issues with fogging and i carry two pair one tinted one clear. i just bought the limited edition RIVET goggles they have nose gaurd they seem like they will be very nice and not to mention look sweet  i rode from eagle river to minoqua after the races last year in sub zero temps and never got cold ;)! ..... at least my face everything else was froze solid when we pulled in at 3:30 in the morin :o|

I just received the goggles that sno-teck said are from HABER wow put a quick strap on cani't wait to use them

I didn't like the quick strap. I thought I cleaned the helmet well-enough, but the pin would peel off with the goggle. I've heard good things about the SPY goggles.

Ran with Quick Straps for a couple years & went back to the strap. Problem I had was I would let the gogs hang from my helmet when stopped. If it was cold I would get them to frost up when we started riding again. Better seal from the one single strap when powder riding but every head & helmet are different. My Scotts, Oakleys, Pro-Grip & Smiths all work well, I carry a clear pair & a L/S pair for the days changing conditions.

Just picked up a pair of sweet SPY goggles for this winter. With the quick strap. What I reccomend is bringing the reg. strap with you...just in case the quick strap freezes up and the velcro doesn't work.

Trim the end of the Q/S that goes on the stud, Just a little off each knob will stop you from ripping the stud from your helmet. If you do rip the stud off the helmet as I did, You can warm up the adhesive backing on the exhaust & get it to stick to the helmet again in a pinch.

I have the best luck putting the goggles inside my coat when we stop. Nice warm & dry w/no fogging.
