Got my 06 er tore down, even got the engine apart and going 136. is it a big deal. can i keep my rear cooler or do i need an attack one. thanks.
You could probably get away with keeping the one you have but if you want to be safe you could get the Attack or Apex one for about $300.00.

Its fine, I kept my cooler there with a set back skid.(144")

Apex (121") and Attak (136") share the same HEAT EXCHANGER ASSY part # 8FU-1241A-00-00. Just to set the record straight as I've seen this question asked on many different pages here

I did the same swap on my '06 apex..I went from a 121 to a 136...then added a 1.5" paddle track...All the guys here talking about needing rear exchanger ...I don't understand why..I have not had any issues...I run a pair of ice scratchers and I don't get hot...I rode in +8*C the other day in not so good conditions ...no cooling issues peroid..save your money on the exchanger and buy a set of ice scratchers...Also saves hyfax..
