Guys i ride in deep powder, and lets face it these things arent the most awesome. when i ride in 2-3 feet the sled runs fine, but i went in 6 feet of FRESH powder that was like sugar, it was soft and easy to get stuck in. my sled at WOT could not top 17mph.

is there anything that would help flotation and speed over powder? Would wider 05 Ski's help? Are there any free mods that i can do to help the powder situation?

 Howdy SOCORX1!! I am trying to sort out the 04s, I still need to ride them this year and see how they perform with the mods that I have done, have you done anything at all to yours? I am also anxious to try the 05 Iknow that there have been changes to the clutching, and suspensions so I have to wait!!! please SNOW tommorow? is that to much to ask :o| :o| , I will keep in touch ;)!

Start with either the 05 skis or Powder Pros - those are the widest skis. Simmons skis would also work. If you want more floatation - go with a longer track (159 or 162). I put the powder pros on last winter and you could tell that it was riding up on the snow better in the powder - definetly better than the stock 03 /04 skis.

Next would be to lighten it up....... but there are about 2,000 threads on that so I won't waste the server space by starting another one :D

Also install MPI's weight transfer kit. Better weight transfer and saves you 5lbs of weight. All for the low low price of $50.

I've found that adjusting the limiter straps will greatly decrease the approach angle and make the sled climb up on the snow without sacrificing too much transfer.

My sled is stock and I have no problem with deep powder!!! It's in the ability of the rider..

All though I admit It Gets Stuck far to Easy And it is aBitch of a stuck The truth is I love the endless face shots of powder riding my rx 1
That said I will likely Change Skies to some Fat Thing Before the first real snow this year But I am sure I will miss the face shots.
I have heard the next best Semi Stock improvment to Help your Powdr ability is Extrovert Drivers Which helps your track rumm looser and aparently pulls better in the fluff.
For me Sledding is ALL ABOUT POWDER & Power but Real long Tracks are not my Personal answer to fun as I like to pull sharp shihooks and shoulder carves anywhere I can I personally am looking for a Deeper Lug still 151 but with Extroverts.. Having the track Punched for Extroverts. This should Make The Track Lighter and the track being rotating wieght would translate to better REAL power.
Big Skies will still be Best Bang for Powder Buck to keep the front UP
