Im just checkin in to say goodby to all me old "fellow" Phazer riders. I have sold the Phazer and bought a "conventional" sled. Im not here to bash but I can tell ya....ONE ride and I have NO regrets. I do not miss the Phazer and did love it at times.
Of all the forums I am part of this is BY FAR the most professional and intelligent.
Unfortunatly Yamaha produces/sells NO sled that I will ever be in the Market for. Spometime ya gotta keep it simple....the Yams ARE NOT.
Only advice I can give to a potential Phazer buyer.....RIDE ONE FIRST!!!!!
and they ARE NOT kids or wives sleds.
Been great chattin with ya all and thanx SO MUCH for all of the advice.
Cannondale.....yer the best.

See ya on the trail, Bryan Scribner

Miss ya man!Come on over for one of the WIXC races.Would like to meet you.Good luck.

One that turns when you turn the bars.... ALOT closer (my butt) to the ground. Im not here to rip it just say my farewells.
I sold the Phazer and got a good deal on a MXZ600. And I am VERY pleased with it.

Don't buy an MXZ.

My friend bought an MXZ then 6 years later....BAM! Cancer.

Heck, my brother just stored his MXZ in my garage when the season ended in March,- March 16th, BAM Prostate Cancer! Had to get it removed! (true story by the way).

Funny story. No offense intended of course.

Happy trails on the MXZ!

phazer is not a sled for everyone - only skilled riders can get it to achieve it's full potential. i've had two phazers and had to make modifications to get it where i wanted it - the point is, i knew what i wanted it to do, and then did my mods. i knew it wasn't a speed demon, and i'm beyond that point in my life - if i still was i would be on an apex or still on my viper. mine is setup to be a trail sled and an off-trail sled - i made it comfortable and functional. i have it because it never fails me, it pulls to 65 miles an hour and i can get it to corner on the trails and manuever it thru the woods. going to another brand is a give and take - you get some and you lose some - i ride with all brands and they are all good. what i have seen is that all sleds have their problems - yamaha included. most of the guys i ride with have been on the same brand for as long as i have known them - they dont cross over - they are hardcore loyal to their brand - the guys i see jumping brand to brand looking for the holy grail usually lose interest and fade away. a sled has to be chosen on your love of the powerplant, cause everything else can be changed - when we were riding the vipers, they would kill you on the trail , but the motor would never let you down - i saw vipers with cat skids, arctic skids and m-10's. to each his own -
